Gas Washing Bottle, Borosilicate Glass, 250 ml
Gas washing bottles are typically used to saturate a liquid with a gas or a gas with another vapour. These graduated containers can also be used to precipitating elements from gas or dry gas streams as well. It offers an economical but effective method for washing and drying gases. Gas washing bottles may also be used to dry gas streams by passing a stream through an acid to remove water or base impurities. Unlike bubblers, which are often used to fill similar purposes, gas washing bottles offer better drying and saturation. Gas washing bottles are excellent at humidifying carbon dioxide-air mixtures and, when used in gassed cell culture incubators, maintain high humidity.
