An inoculation loop, also called a smear loop, inoculation wand or micro streaker, is a simple tool used mainly by microbiologists to pick up and transfer a small sample from a culture of microorganisms. The tool consists of a thin handle with a loop about 5 mm wide or smaller at the end. Designed for quantitative procedures such as sampling, serial dilutions, as well as for bacterial inoculation. This inoculating loop is made of nichrome with the length of 50 mm and has a handle with a length of 200 mm.
