Laboratory Glass Dewar Flask
A Dewar flask is a vessel with two walls that are separated by a vacuum. Since the vacuum provides good thermal insulation, liquids of any temperature can be kept in them for an extended period of time. The walls can be made of a variety of materials, most frequently stainless steel or glass. Dewar flasks are generally used in research laboratory applications to hold liquefied gases for flash freezing samples. For the best results when employing liquefied gases or other liquids, Dewar flasks must be dried consistently and effectively.
