Allihn Condenser Reflux for Soxhlet Extractor, Lower Joint 45/50
The Allihn condenser or bulb condenser consists of a long glass tube with a water jacket. A series of bulbs on the tube increases the surface area upon which the vapour constituents may condense. Ideally suited for laboratory-scale refluxing; indeed, the term reflux condenser often means this type specifically.
This is a special Allihn condenser inserting to a soxhlet extractor body, the size is larger with an inner tube consisting of a series of bulbs which increase the surface area available for vapour condensation surrounded by an outer jacket tube.This design can improve the cooling performance as a reflux condenser. The borosilicate glass Allihn condenser is with 45/50 joint, 260 mm in jacket length and 350 mm overall length.
